Cloud Front Group and Saratoga Data Systems Announce the Availability of a Faster Protocol for Data Acceleration

Cloud Front Group and Saratoga Data Systems announce the availability of a faster protocol for Data Acceleration. Software proven to consistently deliver data with faster performance than SCPS and absolute accuracy over a variety of satellite communications systems.

Reston, VA (PRWEB) January 13, 2014

The Cloud Front Group today announced the availability of software solution that transmits data up to 5-100x faster than TCP and 3x than the SCPS acceleration protocol for satellite communications through the use of Saratoga Data Systems’ Flume Network OptimizationTM product. Flume, a patented software protocol originally developed to optimize large data transfers over terrestrial networks, has proven to consistently deliver data with accelerated performance and absolute accuracy over a variety of satellite communications systems. In recent testing, Flume proved the ability to beat SCPS performance over satellite communications, accurately and consistently, even in the face of degraded networking conditions.
Saratoga Data Systems flagship product, Flume, offers ‘game changing’ solutions for acutely latent and highly intermittent network connections. With the capability to improve bandwidth utilization, accelerate, and effectively synchronize any type and volume of data, whether or not encrypted or compressed, Flume is able to achieve significant speed gains for new data content and transmission.
Cloud Front Group, Inc. was formed to develop and implement a comprehensive package of business resources, processes and tools that can be tailored to each client high technology emerging firm to affect the efficient delivery of goods and services over the “last mile” between the company and the US government by mitigating credibility and viability impediments to the successful and “ahead of the curve” deployment of “leading edge” technologies within the US government.
John Mackay, President of the Cloud Front Group stated, “Flume presents organizations currently using SCPS solutions with an option to move data across satellite systems with a higher performance, lower cost of ownership solution. Flume allows accelerated data movement and assured delivery across any internet connection using commodity PC hardware. The Cloud Front Group is very pleased to offer its partners and customers this cost effective breakthrough in data capability for world wide data delivery for immediate use.”
“We are excited to be able to partner with the Cloud Front Group,” said Greg Fairbank, President and CEO of Saratoga Data Systems. “Their support, extensive government market space experience, significant business partnerships and strategic relationships will have a significant impact upon bringing our solutions to bear upon normal data volumes as well as big data transmission problems currently being addressed by various agencies of the US government.”

Saratoga, Cloud Front Group Offer an Assured Data Delivery System for the Iridium Satellite Network
Reston, VA (PRWEB) December 05, 2012

The Cloud Front Group has stated that an assured data delivery mechanism will be available for the Iridium  satellite network. It will be available with Saratoga Data Systems’ Flume Network Optimization product.

Flume is an Internet communication protocol that gets rid of the effects of latency on data communications. While being completely compliant with TCP/IP standards, Flume considerably increases Internet data throughput. While efficiently sharing Internet bandwidth with conventional communication traffic, Flume accomplishes this incredible acceleration.

Cloud Front Group, Inc. was established to implement a complete package of business resources, processes and tools. These processes and tools can be modified to each client to enable the efficient delivery of goods and services over the “last mile” between the company and the U.S. government. This will be done by reducing credibility and viability risks and achieving the successful and “ahead of the curve” deployment of “leading edge” technologies in the U.S. government.

John Mackay, president of the Cloud Front Group, stated, “Flume represents real value to current and potential Iridium Satellite system users as it allows assured delivery of data using commodity PC hardware. Flume allows users to send data to other Iridium users anywhere in the world with absolute confidence that the data is going to arrive, with absolute accuracy. The Cloud Front Group is very pleased to offer its partners and customers this cost effective and breakthrough data capability for world wide data delivery.”

In March 2012, IceWEB, Inc., a provider of unified data storage appliances for cloud and virtual environments, entered into a partnership with Cloud Front Group. According to the agreement, Cloud Front Group will offer a turnkey big data analytics solution with the help of Cloud Front Group’s big data analytical expertise. The company will also use Cloudera’s Apache Hadoop-based software and IceWEB’s Unified Data Storage Systems.

Saratoga Data Systems, Inc. Receives Basic Technology Patents

(PRWEB) December 05, 2012

Saratoga Data Systems, Inc. announces the issuance of two patents relating to a new Internet Protocol which accelerates data over Wide Area Networks (WANs) or other challenged internet protocol networks that face long distances, high congestion, intermittency or corruption.

Saratoga Data Systems, Inc. announced the issuance of two U.S. patents numbers 8,310,920, “Method and System for Accelerating Transmission of Data Between Network Devices” and 8,312,356, “Systems, Methods and Computer Products Including Features of Coding and/or Recovering Data” relating to a new Internet Protocol which accelerates long distance data transmissions, in some cases by more than 100x. ”Flume” has been proved in exhaustive testing by the Department of Defense and in field use by a wide range of customers in the financial services, engineering and defense sectors.
The Flume™ protocol enables users to send data over “challenged” networks — networks with very high latency, data corruption and loss and transmission failure. Of these networks, terrestrial Wide Area Networks (WANS) are the most commonly encountered, but Flume’s benefits have also been proved consistently on Satellite connections, IP over radio and mesh architectures. As an application, Flume runs on commodity PC hardware.
Greg Fairbank, CEO and President of Saratoga Data noted that “Flume is our flagship product and has proven to accelerate data movement over some of the most challenged networking conditions in the world. This patent is a recognition of Saratoga’s research and development to push forward the boundaries of networking technology. Perhaps what is most exciting is that this patent issuance is just the beginning for Saratoga’s patent portfolio. I’m tremendously excited about our current patent pipeline.”
